Artsmark Silver Award
We are delighted to announce that Temple Meadow has been recognised for its practice in delivering Art and we have therefore received a silver award from Artsmark.
A huge well done goes to Mrs Collins, Head of Art, who has worked so hard on developing our art experiences. Art really matters at Temple Meadow, it is part of our shared vision and values.
We are very proud of our silver award and we are now are in a good place to plan for the gold award and beyond that, the platinum award!
The following comments were made by Artsmark:
'Your school’s ‘irresistible curriculum’ clearly link arts and culture to wider learning opportunities for children so that they can apply their arts learning in a wider context.'
'Your leadership team has a close eye on best practice in the use of the Arts to support themed learning while also tracking skills progression, and has provided CPD internally and with the support of a local artist to strengthen staff confidence and skills in Art, with evident impact in your new Carnival.'
'Your Dance Festival involving local schools is clearly successful and further links with other schools, systematically sharing good practice, would also be beneficial.'
'Your school’s pedagogy is most impressive'
'It is great that you have introduced some Arts ambassadors who support the Arts within your school'
'Your Proud to be Me self-portraits will have given your pupils a wonderful start to the new academic year. You are clearly doing wonderfully embedded cross-curricular work in the Arts that supports your children’s learning and enhances their personal development.'
'Congratulations on your Artsmark Silver Award!'
