Pupil Parliament Meetings
Meeting 1st November 2022
Ms Walsh and Miss Dale met with the Pupil Parliament on Tuesday 1st November 2022. They had lots of wonderful ideas and were very eager to contribute. We started with introductions, a reminder of the job role and asked them to share one thing they would change about school. From this, we identified the first action would be to work with Mrs Bayley and the Eco committee to support a litter-picking focus on the school grounds.
We then reviewed the child-friendly section of the anti-bullying policy and the MPs provided insight into the imagery used within it. Ms Dale will be working with some of the MPs to update the imagery over the next few weeks.
Finally, Ms Walsh has given them the task to talk with their class to identify one non-fiction book that they would like to purchase for the school library.
Meeting 13th January 2022
On Friday 13th January 2023, Year 1-6 MP's had a meeting about what we can improve at Temple Meadow. Firstly, we looked at the manners and politeness campaign and how using manners is a necessary part of everyday life. Next, we talked about houseplants and how we can make the interior eco-friendly too. Then, we talked about animals in my brain which will be an assembly, taking about this subject on Thursday 19th January. Towards the end, we talked about equipment for outside when we go out for break or lunch. In conclusion, our meeting was really nice! I can't wait for the next meeting.
