I have been on the governing body at Temple Meadow since January 2013. I have had two children who have attended the school for all of their primary education. Both have now left and attend a local High School, but Temple Meadow gave them the encouragement to be ready for this next step.

I joined the Governing Body because I wanted to get more involved in the School and give something back to our local community. 

I am currently a parent governor and sit on the Health & Standards and Curriculum committees. I also chair the Health & Standards committee. 

I am a former pupil of the school who has lived in the area my whole life and I find it very interesting how the school has evolved since the 80's! My work life is very different from education, I own a hairdressing salon in the wider community but I think it's useful to have Governors who don't come from an education background to sit on the board.
