Class Dojo
Class Dojo is an online behaviour management system used by Teachers in Year 1-6 to reward positive student behaviour. Dojo Praise Points are rewarded for good manners and politeness, kindness and caring, respecting others, respecting the environment, academic achievement and home learning engagement.
Each individual child, when they receive a Dojo Praise Point will add it to their own profile using their class iPad. At the end of each term our Dojo Praise Point shop will be open, this will be facilitated by Year 6 pupils. Pupils can choose to redeem their points within the shop.
Typical prizes will include:
• 20 points - Pencil with rubber
• 20 points - Bookmark
• 30 points - Colouring book and pencils
• 30 points - Sticker pack
• 30 points - Bouncy ball
• 40 points - Fidget toy
• 50 points - Book
• 50 points - Magazine
• 50 points - Comic
• 75 points - Story time and hot chocolate with the Headteacher and / or SLT (KS1 only).
We will regularly use pupil voice to adapt or change prizes. All prizes from the shop will be taken home, not used in school.
Early Years are not part of the Dojo system as their behaviour and motivational system is tailored to support them in Early Years.
The good news is Class Dojo is an interactive smartphone app which enables parents and carers to view the points achieved by your child. To access your child’s Class Dojo account, you will have received an invitation which includes instructions for downloading the app and your child’s individual access code. Once accessed you will be able to continually view your child’s positive behaviour achievements.
